1. Create Your Account
When you open Fudd for the first time, you can create an account in three ways:
- Google Sign-In: quickly sign in with your Google account.
- Apple Sign-In: available on Apple devices.
- Email and password: register with your email address and a secure password of at least 6 characters.
If you choose email and password, you'll receive a verification link in your inbox. Tap the link to activate your account.
2. Add Products
To add a product to your inventory:
- Tap the "+" button in the bottom navigation bar.
- Enter the product name (e.g., "Whole milk").
- Enter the expiration date as shown on the product label.
- Optionally, select a category (dairy, meats, fruits, etc.), the location (fridge, pantry, freezer), and the quantity.
- Tap "Save".
Important: Always enter the exact expiration date printed on the product label. For products without a printed date, Fudd may suggest an approximate date, but this is only a reference and should not be taken as official information.
3. View Your Inventory
On the Home screen, you'll see a summary of your products organized by status:
- 🟢 Fresh: products with a distant expiration date.
- 🟡 Expiring soon: products that will expire soon and should be consumed first.
- 🔴 Expired: products past their expiration date.
In the Inventory tab, you can see the full list of all your products with filters and search.
4. Alerts and Notifications
Fudd sends you automatic notifications to remind you when a product is about to expire. For them to work correctly:
- Make sure notifications are enabled for Fudd in your device settings (Settings → Apps → Fudd → Notifications).
- Alerts are displayed in the Alerts tab within the app, organized by urgency.
5. Shared Household
You can invite other members of your household so everyone can manage products together:
- Go to Profile → Shared Household.
- Tap "Invite" to generate an invitation link.
- Share the link with your household members via WhatsApp, text, or email.
- When they accept the invitation, they'll be able to view and manage the same products.
6. Premium Plan
Fudd is free with ads. If you want an ad-free experience with advanced features, you can subscribe to the Premium plan:
- Go to Profile → Premium Plan.
- Select the monthly plan.
- Confirm the purchase through Google Play.
The subscription auto-renews every month. You can cancel it at any time from Google Play → Subscriptions.
7. Edit or Delete Products
To modify an existing product:
- Tap the product in your inventory to view its details.
- Tap "Edit" to change any information.
- To delete a product, swipe left or use the delete button in the details view.
8. Statistics
In the statistics section, you can see useful information such as:
- How many products you have registered.
- How many products are expiring soon.
- Your waste vs. consumption history.
