This Privacy Policy describes how Fudd (hereinafter "the Application", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, and protects information provided by users (hereinafter "the User" or "you") when using the Fudd mobile application, available on the Google Play Store under the identifier com.fudd.app.
By downloading, installing, or using the Application, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, we recommend that you do not use the Application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Provided by the User
- Registration data: name, email address, and password (when registering with email) or basic public profile data provided by Google Sign-In or Apple Sign-In (name and email).
- Product data: product name, category, storage location, quantity, and expiration date that the User voluntarily enters.
- Shared household data: when the User creates or joins a shared household, their profile is associated with other members to share the product list.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device identifiers: push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging) used to send expiration alerts.
- Basic usage data: device language, operating system, and Application version, for the purpose of improving the user experience.
- Subscription data: purchase tokens and transaction identifiers provided by Google Play Billing, necessary to verify and manage Premium subscription status.
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect geographic location data (GPS).
- We do not access the camera, microphone, contacts, photos, or files on the device.
- We do not collect financial or credit card data. Payments are handled entirely through Google Play.
2. How We Use the Information
We use the collected information exclusively to:
- Create and manage the User's account.
- Store and display the product list and their expiration dates.
- Send push notifications about products approaching or past their expiration date.
- Manage the shared household functionality.
- Verify and administer Premium subscription status.
- Improve the functionality and experience of the Application.
- Display relevant advertising (see Section 5).
3. Data Storage and Security
- Product data is stored locally on the User's device using a SQLite database.
- Authentication data is managed through Firebase Authentication (Google LLC), which uses industry-standard security protocols.
- Subscription and profile data is stored on secure Amazon Web Services (AWS) servers with encryption at rest and in transit.
- We implement reasonable technical and organizational security measures to protect information. However, no electronic transmission or storage system is 100% secure.
4. Third-Party Services
The Application uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Firebase Authentication (Google LLC): for user account management. Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google LLC): for sending push notifications. Firebase Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Billing: for subscription and payment management. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google AdMob (Google LLC): for displaying ads in the free version of the Application. AdMob may collect device data to personalize advertising. Google Privacy Policy.
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): for cloud storage and server-side data processing. AWS Privacy Policy.
5. Advertising
The free version of the Application displays ads provided by Google AdMob. These ads may use device identifiers and usage data to show relevant advertising. The User may opt to remove advertising by purchasing a Premium subscription through Google Play.

6. Subscriptions and Payments
- Fudd offers a Premium plan through an auto-renewable monthly subscription managed via Google Play.
- Payments are processed entirely by Google Play. Fudd does not store or have access to payment data (credit card, bank account, etc.).
- The User may cancel the subscription at any time from Google Play subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- For refund inquiries, the User should contact Google Play directly according to their refund policies.
7. Children's Privacy
The Application is a household management tool that allows users to track products and their expiration dates. Its content is suitable for all ages and does not contain inappropriate, violent, or adult material.
Fudd is not specifically directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in a differentiated manner. We recommend that minors use the Application under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.
If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child under 13 has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us at soporte@fudd.app and we will proceed to delete such information.
Advertising displayed by Google AdMob complies with Google's family ads content policies.
8. User Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data stored in the Application.
- Rectify any incorrect data directly from the Application (profile, products).
- Delete your account and all associated data. You can request this via soporte@fudd.app or from the profile section of the Application.
- Revoke your consent for push notifications from your device settings.
- Request information about the data we have stored about you.
We will respond to any request within a maximum of 30 business days.
9. Data Retention
- Product data is stored locally on the device and is deleted when the Application is uninstalled or app data is cleared.
- Account data (Firebase) is retained while the account is active. Upon deletion request, data is removed within 30 days.
- Subscription data is retained as required by applicable tax and legal obligations, generally for a period not exceeding 5 years after cancellation.
10. International Transfers
By using third-party services such as Firebase (Google) and AWS (Amazon), your data may be stored or processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including the United States. These providers comply with international data protection standards.
11. Terms of Use
11.1 Acceptance
By using Fudd, you accept these Terms of Use in their entirety. If you do not agree, do not use the Application.
11.2 Description of the Service
Fudd is a household organization tool that allows the User to keep a record of products in their home along with their expiration dates. The Application is not a food safety service and does not replace direct verification of product labels.
11.3 User Responsibility for Expiration Dates
Expiration dates are entered and managed by the User. The User is solely responsible for verifying the accuracy of the dates entered in the Application. Fudd does not verify or guarantee the accuracy of expiration dates entered.
- For products that do not have a printed expiration date, Fudd may provide estimated dates as a general reference. These estimates are based on averages and do not constitute official, scientific, or guaranteed information.
- The User must always verify the product label directly and use their own judgment before consuming any food.
- Fudd, its developers, and operators assume no liability whatsoever for consumption decisions based on information displayed in the Application.
11.4 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- The Application is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
- We do not warrant that the Application will be free from errors, interruptions, or that the results obtained will be accurate or reliable.
- We shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from the use or inability to use the Application, including but not limited to: food poisoning, product loss, data loss, loss of profits, or any other damages.
- The User uses the Application at their own risk.
11.5 Acceptable Use
The User agrees to:
- Use the Application lawfully and in accordance with its purpose (household product management).
- Not attempt to access other users' data without authorization.
- Not use the Application for commercial food resale purposes or as a professional quality control system.
- Not reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Application.
11.6 Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Application, including design, code, trademarks, and logos, belong to Fudd and its developers. The User does not acquire any ownership rights in the Application beyond the limited right of personal use.
11.7 Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised update date. Continued use of the Application after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of those changes.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "last updated" date. We recommend that you review this page regularly.
